General Purpose 1553 Interface
This 1553 interface uses an Altera EPLD working in conjunction with a Harris HD6408 Manchester decoder and other associated circuitry. One EPM8452 operates as two 1553 "RTs". Thirty active-low outputs (per RT), each representing a Subaddress, can be used as chip select lines. Sixteen parallel data bits are provided, and a data strobe is provided much as DTACK* is used in the VMEbus, as is a read/write line. A serial data line is also available with an accompanying strobe if you need to do serial operations. It performs basic reads and writes to 1553, but does not support mode codes.
