This is the FPD Gap package page. The gap package will use L2 information to determine if a rapidity gap is present in the event. The L2 met worker will provide information of energy deposition in eta rings, and contiguous rings with no energy will form a gap. If a gap is present, the event can be tagged as a possible diffractive event for further study.

Using other L2 tools as an example, I will develop the L2 gap tool. I already include the energy in eta ring information in the MeT analyze package I have written. I will be able to use this to study the tool as I develop it.
