| Use the provided insertion tables to determine operating positions for pots. It is not uncommon for quadrupole pots to have their | ||||||||||||||||||
| rates double over the home rate. Dipole pots will have end rates as much as 6 times higher. If a pot has rates over 250kHz | ||||||||||||||||||
| at home, it is unlikely that it can be successfully inserted. End points are determined by rates above 250kHz or an | ||||||||||||||||||
| increase in appropriate halo of 20% phalo < 10kHz, 20% ahalo < 6kHz, whichever occurs first. You can exceed the 250kHz if you | ||||||||||||||||||
| are close to nominal and the rate will not exceed 300kHz by much. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Depending on home rates, try the closest insertion table possible (one with smallest sigma). Look over old elogbook entries | ||||||||||||||||||
| to see where pots have been inserted recently for comparison. | ||||||||||||||||||
