SOFTWARE ISSUES --------------- - FPDGui With all L0 voltages turned on, we expect to see rates from all L0 tubes. If there are any of our new rate_watcher alarms activated, we will get driver failure modes on all pots as soon as we activate the control lines and pots will not move. To clear this state, we either need to clear the alarm or turn off the rate_watcher once we know the reason for the alarms. - HVGui: VETON and D2I goes into PAUSED stated when ramped to 0V. To clear, turn channel off then on. Leave in ON state. Or just ACK the alarm. SPARE and SPARE1 should be in disabled state because there is nothing connected to them. (to see them you need to start fpd2.hv) - SES: SES has a tendency to freeze. If the Control Line alarm doesn't appear, restart the display. Invalid and disabled alarms are AFE status alarms that the CFT group are working on. A common minor alarms is because VETON oro D2I goes into a paused state when ramped to standby. To fix this alarm, turn the channel off then on. Sometimes you will see an FPD_SCALER/STALE alarm. This will happen when scaler rates are not updating and at least one of the pots is not at home. If L0 HV is off and there is no beam, verify that all pots are at home. P2U has a tendency to drift slightly from home. Bring it back home to clear this alarm. If HV is on and you see this alarm, it means there is either a problem with the hardware or with the DAQ program. AFE LVPS alarms are currently being ignored. The CFT shifters are supposed to be responsible for them. If any control line is on, a Major alarm is issued. To clear this alarm, if you are, not moving pots, turn the control lines off. This is an intentional feature to remind people not to leave control lines on. - ACNET Singles rates reported to ACNET when HV is turned off do not mean anything. This is a feature of how the scalar updates itself. To see the full LVDT values, check them on the C72<2> page. To make sure all pots are at home, check the C72<1> page. HARDWARE ISSUES --------------- - Tunnel: Real detectors in all locations. P1U might have control problems. Before any intentional move of this pot, move it in 1mm and back home to verify you have control in both directions. If the pot is in failure mode, all commands will result in pot moving towards the beam. D1I is sticking while moving in at high speed around 22mm. Continue insertion at slow speed to get around it for now. D1 camera is not working. A1U camera won't move down. LVDTs have large fluctuations now (partially installed modification might be acting line an antennae on the ground line). Need to reconnect LVDT modifications to fix this. - PW08: All AFEs installed and working some ped channels have high rms and mean. Being investigated. - Trigger: TDC boards being commissioned DFE being commissioned TM/VTX boards still to be delivered Last Updated: 21-Feb-2005 03:27 PM
