My family and me have a lot of interests: music, movies, books, tennis, skiing, fishing, and other activities. We have a nice pure brad dog, Jessy, she is a boxer. Also we have a cat, Musya, she is very intelligent and independent.

Research Interests

I have been involved in experimental particle physics since 1973. My first experiment was pp at bubble chamber "Mirabelle" at Serpukhov. Then for a long time I was a member of joint US-USSR neutrino bubble chamber experiments: E180 and E564 at Fermilab. In 1986 I decided to move from bubble chambers to counter experiments and joined experiment E672 at Fermilab. In 1991-2000 I worked for NIU where in 1991-1993 I was an active member of the SDC collaboration at the SSC until its end and from 1991 - member of the D0 collaboration at Fermilab. From 1994 to 2000 I was involved in the ATLAS project at LHC (CERN). From 2000 till present time I am a member of D0 Online group and provide support and development of D0 control software. Right now D0 has Run II in progress and there is a big hope to see a lot of new and good physics based on received data. Scientific interests: new phenomena, B-physics.

Computer Interests

Before I did a lot of programming in Fortran, C and C++ for many high energy physics experiments. Now I am trying not to be lost in the ocean of modern software. I am interested in software developments for Linux, Unix and Windows using C++, C, Java, Python, and new ideas in OO programming. Since 2000 I am a member of D0 Online Group and work on D0 control software support and development, which is EPICS based. In addition I serve as DBA for online ORACLE databases and maintain two large database instances.
