This beautiful Forest Inn hotel is just minutes away from Heavenly ski resort which offers a variety of trails from beginner to expert level. Skiing school is available for those who would like to try it for the very first time. There is a free shuttle transportation between the Inn and the resort. Inn is also just a 5-minute-walk away from Nevada casinos which might help you to save on your next lift ticket if you feel that the old probability class you took back at college was not completely wasted on you.

The Forest Inn currently runs a Ski/Hotel special: $79/night based on double occupancy in a one-bedroom suite with full kitchen. This includes lift ticket, room, continental breakfast and evening beverages. A third person can stay free (they provide a sofa-bed in the family room), but the lift ticket for him/her is not included.

As of now at least two of us (Andrew Green and Greg Landsberg) are planning for a three-day trip there after the workshop, and we can accommodate a third person in this suite; also people are encouraged to make there own reservations using a link above.
