The Technical Design Report

The Run2b silicon tracker is designed using the experience gained with the Run IIa silicon tracker. The link referring to talks on the silicon tracker includes references to talks covering the Run IIa silicon tracker. The design of the new tracker for Run IIb is described in the Technical Design Report (.doc file, pdf file, 252 pages) as presented at the baseline readiness review September 24-26, 2002. The report is preceded by a discussion of the physics goals for Run IIb (.doc file, pdf file).

Additional funding for the project is obtained through a Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The MRI proposal outlines the responsibilities of the various institutions participating in the project
