Known problems

On some occasions when you click on a link to an MS Office document (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), you are prompted with a dialog box asking for a user name and password.  This does not happen with an html page or a pdf document.  This dialog box is often hidden behind the browser window, so it seems as if the browser is hung.  But the window is there and you can bring it to the top by clicking on its icon.  The miracle is that if you then simply click the "Cancel" button in the dialog box without entering the requested info, you can view the document in Internet Explorer with no apparent problems.  Don't ask me why this happens - I don't know!
