Fiber Tracker Meeting Minutes
November 11, 2003 - 10am, farside
- Status of shutdown activities : Borcherding
- power supplies have all been switched over
- still having trouble with trips
- readout for whole system does not look good at all (at 53MHz)
- what works one day does not work the next, etc.
- right now don't have a plan
- could back out of 53MHz change
- could change way delays are done
- could have SVX generate its own clock
- other possibilities
- currently seriously considering backing out to 40
- decided to leave crate 53 at 53MHz until the last minute
to see if we can come up with a fix
- CFT light yield update : Boeriu
- now have program to create a tuple from an ASCII(?) file
- not working perfectly yet
- each track is read more than one time -
trying to make it read just once
- also need to make sure track is not being selected more than once
- comments from Mike?
- "this is a tractable problem"
- CTT status : CTT expert
- going through links
- CFT/CPS axial looks ok generally, but its not all green
- we have run this way before...
- some bits missing?
- Fred: CPS axial clock gens are wrong downstairs;
correct one needs to be re-found
- looking at DFES and DFEF
- still some problems
- could be boards that were put in with missing personalities
- getting a rate-dependent offset in the reading of the rates
- still making progress with the STT but not done yet
- new CTT trigger terms have been implemented
- AFEII proposal status : Bross
- given green light by the lab
- review in mid-December
- weither or not to actually proceed is left up to a DZero
internal committee
- deadline for decision to do full replacement is February
- will require that prototypes are ready and tested
- AoB : everyone
- lengthy discussion about how well MC models data, what has been done
and what needs to be done about these split pedestals,
do we really want these AFEII's, etc.
