Start date of production: 11/2000

Serial number range: 18-182.

This memo describes the Rev 3.4 version of the interface card.

No. produced: 165

CHECKLIST before installing in the experiment:

1.      Check that updated front panel has been installed. Connectors should be numbered 1-4 from top down.

2.      Has JTAG connector and cable been installed? This is required if one needs to reprogram the interface cards again in situ.

3.      Last minute check of fuses for Vcc (+5) and 15V. Also check that board has not developed a short to ground. R should be ~8-12W from Vcc to ground, and >10K for +15v to ground.

4.      Check that DVALID signal has continuity – either wire jumper or delay SIP must be installed on all 8 channels.  Normally pins 1 and 3 are shorted with a wire jumper for the eight sets of pads marked U178-U185.

5.      Check that temperature trip jumper has been removed – when removed trip level is 40o C, if installed (for teststand use with no cooling available) the trip level is 65o C. These jumpers are marked W33-W40.

  1. Make sure that silicon bias voltage jumpers are set for either split or single bias.

  1. Install jumper in the J1 header to select which of 8 channels is connected to analog out. Analog out range is approximately 0 – 5V for the temperature range –20 to 100o C.

  1. Check the Altera programming is up to date. This sets, among many other things, the delay between DVALID and data signals.  (Aurelio Juste may want to change this from the KSU teststand default).
