SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:

The DØ software are released weekly ("t" release) for development and approximately quarterly ("p" release) for production. More can be found at Release Status. The development is broadly divided into four areas of effort:

Algorithms (Harry Melanson, Suyong Choi), all "algorithms" used within the collaboration.

bullet

Simulation (Qizhong Li, Serban Protopopescu), event generators and detector simulations.

bullet

Trigger Simulation (Angela Bellavance, Dugan O'Neil), simulates L1 hardware response and wraps L2/L3 online algorithms for offline studies.

Event graphics (Laurent Duflot), event display executables.
